Crystal Dating, Inc. (“Crystal Dating,” “Ocean,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Ocean mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Name (not required to be your legal name)

• Dating preferences (such as preferred gender)

• Optional profile information such as job, education, height, additional photos, and written responses

Automatically Collected Information

• Device and usage information (such as device type, operating system, app interactions)
• A unique internal user identifier
• Log and diagnostic information used for reliability and security
• Approximate location inferred from IP address by analytics and error-reporting tools

Location Information

The App requests access to your device location to support matching and display approximate distance and location information to other users. Depending on your device settings, you may choose to share either precise or approximate location.

We do not collect location data continuously. Your location is checked when you sign up and when you manually update your location in the App.

2. Public Profile Information

The following information may be visible to other users on your profile:

• Name
• Age (derived from date of birth; your date of birth is not shown)
• Gender (as configured by you)
• Photos
• Job (if provided)
• Education (if provided)
• Height (if provided)
• City and state
• Distance (rounded to the nearest mile)
• AI-generated compatibility score and compatibility explanation

All other information is kept private and is not displayed to other users.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the App
• Create and display user profiles
• Enable messaging between users
• Match users and generate compatibility scores and explanations
• Detect, prevent, and address harmful or prohibited behavior
• Review reports and enforce our community rules
• Improve the App’s functionality, safety, and reliability
• Communicate with you about the App

4. AI-Based Matching

We use artificial intelligence to analyze profile information, photos, and written responses to generate compatibility scores, compatibility explanations, and to filter which profiles are shown to users.

These systems are not used for advertising or identity verification, and user data processed for matching is not used to train third-party AI models.

5. Messaging

Users may send private messages to matched users. Messages are private by default and are not proactively monitored. Messages may be reviewed by our support team only if reported by a user.

6. Safety, Reports, and Moderation

Users may report other users through the App. We store report information and review reports to take appropriate action, including warnings or bans. We may retain limited information related to reports, moderation actions, and safety investigations even after an account is deleted where necessary to enforce our rules or comply with legal obligations.

7. Analytics and Error Reporting

We use analytics and error-reporting services to understand how the App is used and to improve reliability and performance. These services may collect device information, usage data, and internal identifiers.

We do not sell personal information or use analytics for advertising. The App respects Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework and does not track users across other companies’ apps or websites.

8. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect user data, including encryption at rest and restricted access to authorized personnel.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting us.

• Profile and account data are deleted immediately
• Photos are deleted
• Authentication data is deleted
• Backup copies may be retained for up to 7 days

Some information related to reports, analytics, or logs may persist for a limited period as described in this policy.

10. Age Requirement

Ocean is intended only for users 18 years of age or older. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be terminated and deleted.

11. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect user safety and the integrity of the App.

12. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your information through the App or by contacting us.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date will be updated when changes are made.
